Clyw Gnarwhal 2 yoyo review!!!!

Sorry for no reviews lately. I have been very busy with school but finally asked my brother to borrow his Gnarwhal 2 for a yoyo review! So here it is!

Specs and Size

Here are the specs on the Gnarwhal 2:

Diameter:   53.15mm

Width:        43.35mm

Gap Width: 4.22mm

Weight:       65.8g

The Gnarwhal 2 is bigger than his brother, the Gnarwhal. However, it is still a slightly undersized yoyo. When playing with the Gnarwhal 2, you do not feel the weight at all. I also find that the Gnarwhal 2 has a big gap. However, when using it, I find no difference in binding and response.

The Gnarwhal 2 is also not intended to go fast. It can do your slowest tricks but actually holds up well on a lot of speed combos.

How does it play?

The Gnarwhal 2 has a  very different playing style. It plays floaty, smooth and carefree. Unlike most competition throws, the Gnarwhal weight is barely felt on the string, making this yoyo a lax everyday throw.

Final Thoughts

Well, the Gnarwhal 2 is definitely not an ideal competition yoyo. But the Gnarwhal 2 is a fun, everyday throw. I  highly recommend it to anyone wanting a new, fun throw.

Hi guys, I contacted MonkeyFinger Ray and he was nice enough to send me some of their  new yoyo string! Without further introduction, let's get on with the review!!!!

Size, Weight, and Texture!!!

Ape Hanger string comes in a familiar length. They come in the length of Kitty string yoyo string, which gives a good amount of room to adjust to your size. The Ape Hanger yoyo string is one of best yoyo string in terms of weight. The string comes with perfect weight, so you can do all types of tricks!  Ape Hanger's are really cool in terms of texture. They  come out of the bag in a REALLY smooth condition!

Durability

I  found that this yoyo string lasts for a pretty long time. It starts to fray after the first throw, but then stops fraying for a really long time. Some other strings may last for longer, but they have nowhere near the same texture. This string also has some of the best string tension. It stays for a really long time, which can make long yoyo sessions much more fun!

Why are Ape Hangers so good? Or are they bad?

I find that from a competition standpoint, the strings are not as good as  some strings 1/2 the price. However, from a lax, smooth style, this string is amazing! The feel, weight, and length are just right for some fast combos, and almost all smooth, flowing styles!

Final

I just want to mention that Ape Hangers have one of the coolest packaging out there! So in the end, these yoyo strings are much better than I expected. Its worth paying $.7 a string any day. MonkeyFinger makes more than competition stuff, they make artwork. And some of the finest out there. So if you are looking for a string to take your tricks to the next level, MonkeyFinger's Ape Hanger yoyo string will not dissapoint!

Fat Kitty Yoyo String Review

Hi all, I have a few more types of string in the mail so expect more reviews!!!! Today, I will be         reviewing the Fat Kitty yoyo string from Kitty yoyo string!! Now lets get on with the review!!!!

Size, Weight, Texture

The Fat Kitty yoyo string is similar and different to regular kitty string in the way of size. Kitty string comes longer and without a knot, and for Fat Kitty, it is no different. Fat Kitty also has the same texture. But Fat Kitty is thicker, hence the name. Also, I found that Fat Kitty has a little more string weight, which can be expected because of more threads.

Durability

I was slightly disappointed to find that is seems like Fat Kitty wears out faster. Maybe I just got some bad stings, but from what I can tell, Fat Kitty frays faster. 

Why is Fat Kitty so good? Or is it bad.

This is all about preference. I find that Fat Kitty gives tighter binds, better whips, and just makes the yoyo feel like a whole new yoyo. But in the end, Fat Kitty is just different. Many world champions have won with Fat Kitty, but yoyo string is not what decides a world champion. If your using any other type of string, I recommend to try Fat Kitty.

Final

So in the end of the day, Fat Kitty is some of my favorite string. It has such an amazing feel, its hard to believe I used to not use it. Kitty String makes some amazing stuff, and Fat Kitty is just an example!
