Orca yoyo review

CLYW Orca Review

Hi everyone,
I hade a great time at the NYYC 2015! As well as meeting all my favorite yoyo players, I got my hands on a cool FG Orca yoyo from CLYW. It was the last they had for sale so I was lucky to get it! This yoyo is now my favorite yoyo, and lets see why.

Size and Shape!

The Orca is very comfortable to hold. When I first held the Orca, I was surprised by how it felt. It feels almost exactly like the Chief. Harrison's goal was to combined his favorite yoyos, and he could not have done s better job. The yoyo has the shape of the Chief, the cup of the Puffin 2, and the spike area of the Bonfire.
The Orca's Specs
Diameter:     55.05mm
Width:          45mm
Gap width:   4.05mm
Weight:        67 g

Weight!

The Orca is slightly heavier than the average throw. Weighing in at 67 grams, this yoyo seems like it would be a slow, down beat yoyo. However, the yoyo industry has proven heavy yoyos can be speedy and floaty. And the Orca proves this again.

How It Plays?

Wow. That is all I can say. this yoyo is everything from a speedy, horizontal yoyo to a slow, lax player. The Orca is steady. I was expecting this yoyo to play like the AC2, and I was wrong. The Orca plays like a whole new throw. Most people would think it would play like the Chief, but in my opinion, the Orca is Unique.

Final Thoughts!

This yoyo is incredible. It feels good, plays good, and looks good. My Orca is FG but is smooth as glass. It has a few ano flaws but nothing much. What makes my orca special is I got Andrew Maider to sign it right after his finals performance, in which he got 2nd place! So in the end of the day, the Orca is my favorite yoyo and in my opinion, a must have for any CLYW fan!

General Yo Amplitude Review

General Yo Amplitude Review

Hi everyone,
Today I will be reviewing the Amplitude from General Yo

Specs

First off, the specs
Diameter: 53.85 mm
Width: 42.27 mm
Gap: 4.3 mm
Weight: 63.4 grams

Size, Shape, and Weight

The first thing you notice when you hold this yoyo is the shape. It is a pretty harsh V shape. That is very unlike general yo because most of there yoyos have a bit of smooth curve. Even though this yoyo could be considered undersized, It feels perfect in the hand; not to big and not to small. This yoyo is super light weight which makes it have a unique style and feel.

How Does It Play?

Many of these yoyos have some vibe or vibe. My General Yo amplitude is 1/1 and has vibe. Most of it can be tuned out. Aside from that, the one thing I can say is Fast. This yoyo can play so fast you can easily loose control of it. It zips on the string and can fly through your best combos. These yoyos are tumbled so there finish is not as grind friendly as a blast but can still be used for a good transitional grind.

Final Thoughts

Well, This yoyo is amazing. If this will be your next competition yoyo or your first metal, this yoyo will not disappoint you!

CLYW Bonfire yoyo review

Clyw has come out with so many great yoyos. Today I will give you a review of the Clyw Bonfire in the Zach Gormley edition colorway.

Shape, Size, And Weight

The Bonfire is the most extreme V shape yoyo Clyw has ever made. This shape reminds me of a mix between many shapes. The Bonfire also Is a pretty big yoyo. Most Clyw yoyos are pretty wide and the Bonfire is no different.
Here are the most basic specs on the Bonfire:
Diameter: 55.1 mm
Width: 45.3 mm
Gap width: 4.16 mm
Weight: 65.5 grams
Bearing size: C
Response: Clyw snow tires

How It Plays

The Bonfire is a upscale version of the campfire. It is as if Clyw put a Campfire in a magical machine that grew it from a pocket yoyo into a full size yoyo. However, is only a few grams heavier. This cause the yoyo to be floaty and yet lightning fast.

Final Thoughts:

This yoyo was my first Clyw yoyo and I could have not been more impressed. This yoyo and the Chief are two of Clyws must haves. I highly recommend getting one of these yoyos. You will not be disappointed.
